Nieuwe resolutie WHO over primary healthcare
Tijdens de ALV op 25 mei jongstleden had Chris van Weel haar al aangekondigd, de nieuwe resolutie van de World Health Organisation over Primary health care. Deze is vastgesteld tijdens de 62e World Health Assembly op 22 mei jongsleden. In de resolutie is aandacht voor geïntegreerde zorg georganiseerd rondom de patiënt met daarbij een rol voor de huisarts:
‘De 62e WHA urges Member States: to train and retain adequate numbers of health workers, with appropriate skill mix, including primary health care nurses, midwives, allied health professionals and family physicians, able to work in a multidisciplinary context, in cooperation with non-professional community health workers in order to respond effectively to people’s health needs’
